In addition to her career as an interior designer and certified color consultant, she has a custom meedlepoint finishing business. Her other interests include the intriguing practice of walking meditation using labyrinths, about which she wrote The Way of the Labyrinth, Penguin Putnam 2000. She has also traveled widely to promote and help preserve the work of her great-grandfather, the renowned architect and extraordinary interior designer, Cass Gilbert. When not working, she can be found sailing on Long Island Sound or in the quiet sanctuary of her Connecticut home.
